From the Literary Atlas Series

Literary Atlas by Fernando Vicente

I’m always somewhat disappointed that maps aren’t creative enough. I understand that they’re meant to convey topographical fact, but how about dressing it up with a little flowery prose? Some deeper characterization? I know that Colombia and Venezuela sit next to each other but tell me why, what is it about these two that makes them never want to leave the other’s side? Tell a story, is all I’m trying to say… because the truth bores me. Fernando’s latest mapographical series adds style and flourish to the countries of Central and South America through the visual medium of literature.
