Late To Rise

In the rigid confines
Of Evening’s dress
Look as I lounge,
Anticipating a signal fire

Yourself thinking of myself
Your body needing me
As my body withdraws
Needing you too much,
Unable to breathe you in

Or exhale the musty burn
That the scent of you exhausts
As I contort into eerie poses,
Leaking Love out my pores;

Losing Life’s curtain by sun up.
